Corporate Social Responsibility

The Sustainability Office is responsible for promoting the company’s corporate social responsibilities (CSR) including corporate governance, environmental sustainability, and public welfare on a part-time basis. KNH has always upheld the corporate spirit of “Kleaner,” “Nicer,” and “Healthier” to materialize the company’s insistence on quality. Because of such integrity and perseverance, KNH has not been involved in consumer safety and quality-related incidents amid today’s heightened consumer awareness, allowing us to develop products that are beneficial for society. As a result, we have received numerous accolades such as the “Taiwan Excellence Award,” “Top 100 Taiwan Brands,” and “National Industrial Innovation Award.” KNH has not only upheld the spirit of pragmatism to bolster the company’s structure, build a sound foundation, and garner consumers’ recognition, but also maintained a high-quality corporate image to fulfill our corporate social responsibilities, as well as generate the greatest profits and benefits for our shareholders and employees.

Ethical Corporate Management

The HR Division is in charge of advancing integrity management in the company, responsible for formulating, and implementing relevant regulations, as well as counseling and promotion. Currently, the “Ethical Corporate Management Best Practice Principle” and “Ethical Corporate Management Operating Procedures and Code of Conduct” have been stipulated, and they are understood and complied with by KNH’s management including directors, managers, employees, and fiduciaries. Furthermore, the implementation status is reported to the Board of Directors annually (the latest Board of Directors meeting was convened on December 29, 2021). Additionally, the “Regulations Governing Procedure for whistle-blowing” has been formulated, where a whistleblowing email and hotline have been created to let a specialized unit process relevant matters according to regulations. As for the whistleblowers or investigators, the company will maintain absolute confidentiality to protect them during the investigation. Furthermore, an independent investigative channel will be adopted to ensure the protection of the whistleblowers and the confidentiality of their identities, as well as facilitating KNH’s sustainable development. An effective accounting system and internal control system have been established, and they are constantly reviewed and revised.

In 2021, internal and external education and training courses cover “Ethical Corporate Management Best Practice Principle”, “Principle for Ethical Corporate Management Best Practice and Guidelines for Codes of Ethical Conduct”, “Code of Conduct for Suppliers”, and “Procedures for Handling Material Inside Information and Management of the Prevention of Insider Trading”. A total of 2,094 employees participated in the courses, and a total of 9 directors participated in the courses, totaling 2,276 hours.
